MADISON — The Catholic Herald-Diocese of Madison won three awards at the recent Catholic Media Conference held virtually this year by the Catholic Media Association.
The publication earned three Honorable Mention awards.
One award went to Bishop Donald J. Hying for his “From the Bishop’s Desk” column in the category of “Best Regular Column by Bishop or Archbishop”.
One award went to Julianne Nornberg for her “Everyday Faith” column in the category of “Best Regular Column-Family Life”.
Another award went to the Catholic Herald staff for its Catholic Schools Week section in the category of “Best Print Special Supplement-Regular Special Supplement”.
Retired Editor Mary C. Uhler was nominated for the St. Francis de Sales Award which is the highest award the Catholic Media Association presents to an individual for their “outstanding contributions to Catholic journalism”.
