John Kortendick, father of diocesan priest, dies

ROCKFORD, Ill. — John Kortendick, father of Fr. Steven J. Kortendick, pastor of St. Jude and St. Thomas the Apostle Parishes in Beloit, died on July 6, 2009.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, July 10, at 10 a.m. at St. Bernadette Church 2400 Bell Ave., Rockford, Ill. Visitation will be on Thursday, July 9, from 5 to 8 p.m. at Fitzgerald Funeral Home Riverside Chapel, 3910 N. Rockton Ave., Rockford
