Open houses scheduled at Lumen House

On February 26, 2014
Kevin Wondrash

MADISON — There will be open houses and tours the next two Thursdays, Feb. 27 and March 6, from 4 to 5 p.m. at the site of Lumen House at 142 W. Johnson St.

Lumen House is a student housing project of Cathedral Parish in Madison. Residents will experience high quality apartment living within a small, supportive community.

Optional spiritual programs offered to residents of Lumen House will be organized by St. Paul University Catholic Center at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

This project will allow Catholic students actively involved in the ministries of St. Paul’s University Catholic Center or the Cathedral Parish in downtown Madison to pay rent at a reduced rate. It will also offer financial aid for those students in need.

At the open houses, current and incoming students at UW-Madison are invited to walk through Lumen House and watch this historic landmark being transformed into modern apartments.

Reasons to consider making Lumen House your next campus home include:

  • St. Paul’s presence — Live with others who worship at St. Paul’s University Catholic Center.
  • Roommate matching — If you don’t have a group selected, add your name to the list of those seeking roommates at www.isthmuscatholic.org
  • Rent credit scholarship — Earn $100 per person each month of your entire lease agreement. Scholarship applications are available at St. Paul’s.
  • Earn a referral fee — Current lease holders can earn a finders’ fee of $200 cash by referring a friend to live at Lumen House.

For more information on Lumen House, call 608-229-6650 or email [email protected]
