WISCONSIN DELLS — Priests of the Diocese of Madison will be gathering Sunday through Wednesday, Sept. 19 to 22, at the Chula Vista Resort in Wisconsin Dells for their 41st annual Presbyteral Assembly.
The assembly is returning to the resort after being held at St. Francis Xavier Parish in Cross Plains last year due to accommodations brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic.
The theme for this year is “The Power of the Gospel” and the focus will be on the Kerygma/Good News of Jesus and His Resurrection to change lives.
The speakers are Fr. John Riccardo and ACTS XXIX.
Father Riccardo is the executive director of ACTS XXIX, an apostolate that aims to “unleash the power of the gospel and equip ordained and lay leaders to rebuild the Church.”
On Monday evening, Sept. 20, attending priests will pray Vespers for all of the deceased bishops and priests of the diocese.
On Tuesday evening, Sept. 21, there will be a Jubilarian Mass honoring priests of the diocese celebrating jubilee anniversaries this year.
