Catholic Herald Staff

MADISON — The Diocese of Madison will be hosting a meeting for men who are interested in learning more about the call to being a permanent deacon.

The inquiry meeting will be held on Saturday, April 27, from 9 a.m. to 12 noon, at Holy Name Heights, 702 S. High Point Rd., Madison.

Check-in will start at 8:40 a.m.

The meeting is for men who have experienced a call to learn more about the vocation to the permanent diaconate.

It will provide information about the life and ministry of a permanent deacon, along with the discernment and formation process.

You are asked to inform your pastor or parochial administrator that you are interested in the vocation and plan to attend the meeting.

Wives may attend with their husbands, and pastors and parochial administrators are invited.

Reservations are requested. Contact Deacon Chris Schmelzer, director of the Office of the Permanent
Diaconate, at [email protected] by Friday, April 19.

Men are asked to include their wives’ names if they are attending the meeting.
