BARABOO — A Mass of Christian Burial was held for Charles Pearson Schluter, 92, on Tuesday, Jan. 8, at St. Joseph Parish here. He is the father of Msgr. O. Charles Schluter, pastor of St. Mary and St. Augustine University Parishes, Platteville. Burial was in the parish cemetery.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Frances. Survivors include children: Monsignor Schluter, Platteville; Gary (Sandra), Black River Falls; Eric (Patricia Huston), Glendale; Jean (George) Cooper, Adams; Mary (James) Friesen, Owen/Baraboo; five grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, a brother Roger, Baraboo and a sister Joan Raque, Portland Ore.
Memorials may be given to the St. Joseph School Endowment Fund, Baraboo.
