CAMPBELLSPORT — School Sister of St. Francis Marie Hodapp died May 6, 2010 at St. Joseph Convent in Campbellsport, Wis. The daughter of Bernard and Anna Hodapp, she was born April 18, 1922, in Westphalia, Iowa. She was received into the School Sisters of St. Francis June 13, 1940 and made first profession of vows June 21, 1942 and final (perpetual) vows June 21, 1948.
Sister Marie is survived by her sisters Marge Kennedy (and brother-in-law Bernard Kennedy) and Rita Mueller; her niece, School Sister of St. Francis Lee Agnes Hodapp; other nieces and nephews; friends; and the School Sisters of St. Francis.
Sister Marie lived her religious ministry in Illinois, Wisconsin, Nebraska, South Dakota and Iowa. In the Diocese of Madison, Sister taught at St. Clement School in Lancaster (1943-1949).
A wake and Funeral Mass took place on May 10, 2010 at St. Joseph Convent in Campbellsport. Burial followed at Sisters’ Cemetery in Campbellsport.
