Father’s Day open house at Women’s Care Center

On June 18, 2015
Kevin Wondrash

MADISON — Women’s Care Center, 3711 Orin Rd., will host an open house on Father’s Day, June 21, from 4 to 7 p.m.

Guests can view the facility, learn about its important mission, and get information on becoming a volunteer or donor.

Refreshments will be served.

As a special highlight, a Biking for Babies crew, completing a 320-mile ride, is expected to arrive around 6 p.m.

Biking for Babies began in 2009 when two young men were inspired to make the spirit of pro-life work more accessible to others and themselves — trying to experience, in some small measure, the endurance and commitment that is tried upon the young women and families in the face of an unexpected pregnancy.

This July 11, teams will depart from Dallas, New Orleans, and St. Augustine, and converge in Chicago on July 19, after biking 140-plus miles a day for eight days.

The teams raise awareness and support for pregnancy resource centers around the country.
