Catholic Herald Staff

The Diocese of Madison has announced the merger of a new parish — Queen of Apostles — as of February 22.

This unites the church communities of St. Dennis and St. Peter in Madison.

St. Dennis School is also part of the parish.

Fr. Gary Krahenbuhl will serve as the pastor with Fr. Joseph Michael Tarigopula serving as parochial vicar.

Deacon David Hendrickson will serve as deacon.

A Mass of installation will take place at a later date.

A future Catholic Herald article will feature Father Krahenbuhl’s installation as pastor and more about the merger.

The Diocese of Madison has also announced the merger of a new parish — Mater Dei Parish — as of March 1.

This merger united the church communities of All Saints in Berlin, Our Lady of the Lake in Green Lake, Holy Family in Kingston and Markesan, St. John the Baptist in Princeton, and St. James in Neshkoro.

All Saints School in Berlin is also part of the parish.

Msgr. James Gunn will serve as pastor with Fr. Eric Nielsen and Fr. Anthony Thirumalareddy serving as parochial vicars.

Deacon Terrence Larbes will serve as deacon.

A Mass of installation will take place at a later date.

A future Catholic Herald article will feature Monsignor Gunn’s installation as pastor and more about the merger.
