CROSS PLAINS — This year’s annual presbyteral assembly will be at St. Francis Xavier Parish in Cross Plains on Monday, Sept. 21, and Tuesday, Sept. 22.
It is not being held at Chula Vista in Wisconsin Dells this year because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The theme of the assembly is “Forming Intentional Missionary Disciples.”
This year’s speakers will be building upon Bishop Donald J. Hying’s Go Make Disciples Evangelization Initiative as both of them are nationally recognized experts in the area of evangelization and discipleship.
The two speakers — presenting virtually — are Sherry Weddell, most famously known for her book Forming Intentional Disciples, and Marcel LeJeune, the founder of Catholic Missionary Disciples.
On Monday evening, the priests will pray vespers for all of the deceased bishops and priests of the diocese.
On Tuesday evening, there will be a Jubilarian Mass honoring those priests of our diocese celebrating jubilee anniversaries.
