MADISON — Bishop Robert C. Morlino of Madison was on hand as SSM Health St. Mary’s Care Center in Madison celebrated its expanded care opportunities for its long-term residents and the greater community.
The bishop told staff members at an April 7 dedication and blessing ceremony that he is “pleased with all the healing and all of the love that are communicated in such a way that patients are healed outwardly and inwardly by the wonderful care that they receive” at the care center.
MADISON — Saint Jude Hospice now offers loving care for patients and families facing terminal illness from two new locations in Wisconsin: Platteville and La Crosse.
Saint Jude’s mission is to serve all patients, in the comfort of their own home, who are facing terminal illness by bringing healing to those when their hope has changed from cure to comfort.
COLUMBUS — Elizabeth A. Larson, MD, is a Catholic physician who will bring her beliefs into her work in Columbus. Dr. Larson will be opening her own independent practice in family medicine with a focus in obstetrics in Columbus starting on October 15.
On October 11, 2010, the day the U.S. celebrates Columbus Day, the Shepherd Center, a 132-bed spinal cord and brain injury rehabilitation hospital and clinical research center in Atlanta, Ga., participated in an experiment for restoring sensation to people with spinal cord injuries.
