White Mass for medical professionals on October 13

On September 11, 2024September 9, 2024
Catholic Herald Staff

The Catholic Medical Guild of the Diocese of Madison will be hosting its annual White Mass in honor of medical professionals.

Bishop Donald J. Hying of Madison will be celebrating the Mass on Sunday, Oct. 13, at 10:30 a.m., at the Holy Name Heights Oratory, 702 S. High Point Rd., Madison.

All medical professionals from throughout the diocese are invited to attend.

Following Mass, there will be a light brunch, and Patrick Conley, host of The Inner Life on Relevant Radio will be the guest speaker.

Mark Lehman from the Catholic Medical Guide said, “We are very excited to have Patrick Conley as our guest. His shows’ topics center on one-on-one spiritual direction on the radio.

Lehman indicated that the local Guild is part of the National Catholic Medical Association whose mission is “Forming and supporting current and future physicians and other healthcare professionals to live and promote the principles of the Catholic Faith in the science and practice of medicine.”

Lehman said they strive to inspire physicians and other healthcare professionals to Imitate Jesus Christ.

The National Catholic Medical Association is heavily engaged in the struggle to protect conscience rights of Catholic healthcare professionals.

Lehman asks individuals who work in nursing homes, clinics, pharmacies, hospitals, or other healthcare facilities to attend.

For more information, or to sign up, contact Lehman at [email protected] by Sunday, Oct. 6, to allow for food planning.
