MADISON — The Madison Catholic Woman’s Club (MCWC) warmly invites all women of the Diocese of Madison and their guests to experience a Day or Evening of Christian Renewal on Tuesday, Oct. 11, at St. Maria Goretti Church Parish Hall, 5313 Flad Ave., Madison. Both day and evening events will be inspirational, challenging, and enlivening.

Peggy Weber RN, MSN, MCWC spiritual chairperson, humorous storyteller, and an inspiration to all, will be the featured speaker. She brings to the Spiritual Day a background in not only hospital and parish nursing, but also counseling people struggling with mental illness, cancer, chronic illness, and grief and empowering them with hope.

Her presentation is titled “I Can, I Must, I Will Do Your Will in This Year of Mercy” and in her own words, she “promises a fun and holy time.”

The daytime event begins with coffee and breads at 9 a.m. and morning prayer with the Sisters of Mary Morning Star at 9:30 a.m. after which Weber will offer her inspirational program. There will be Mass and Benediction to be followed by lunch at 12:15. After further reflections from Weber, the program closes with the Chaplet of Divine Mercy.

The evening program will begin at 6 p.m. with a meet and greet and a light supper for a free-will offering followed by opening prayer, song, reflections by Weber, and a closing prayer at 8 p.m.

All are invited to finish this “Year of Mercy” with renewed strength and commitment to our faith.
