Abortion should not be counted as ‘health care’

On October 29, 2009
Jim Holden, Watertown

To the editor:

Here is a July 2008 quote from our new president: “Reproductive care is essential care, basic care, so it is at the center, the heart of the health care plan that I propose.”

When did this nation agree that killing an unborn baby counted as “health care”?

Obama thinks that he has the right prescription to fix America’s health care system, and his plan includes a mandate for taxpayer financed abortions in all 50 states.

Let’s get real: abortion is murder, the murder of the most defenseless of our citizens. No courts, no legislature, and no president has the right to pass laws that allow and condone the murder of the unborn.

The Creator has told us to “be fruitful and multiply.” How long do we think He will put up with America’s murder of the unborn?

Jim Holden, Watertown
