BARABOO — The third annual Gala for the Glen, with Irish food, music, and fellowship, will be held at St. Joseph Catholic School gym, 300 Second St., on Saturday, May 30, starting at 5:30 p.m.
Tickets are $50 and are available at Durward’s Glen or at the St. Joseph Parish office.
Following a dinner of shepherd‘s pie and Gaelic chicken catered by Claddagh Irish Pub from Middleton, The Kells, an international Irish band, will entertain with traditional Irish music.
The Kells band includes Brian McCoy on flutes, whistles, and pipes; Kim Rattan on vocals, guitar, and mandolin; Doug Rudy on mandolin, banjo, fiddle, and vocals; and Eddie Cotter on bodhran. Cotter joins the band as his schedule permits, since he is the director of the Dead Theologians Society headquartered in the Diocese of Madison.A raffle drawing will be held at 9 p.m. for a week-long condo stay on the ocean in Carolina Beach, N.C.; a weekend stay in the Durward’s Glen artist cottage including flowers, chocolate, wine, and dinner; jewelry from Sophie’s Jewelry; a stay at the Ramada Inn Lake Delton with tickets for local entertainment; a gift basket of items from Wisconsin’s sports teams; a watercolor painting by Janet Flynn; a By Boots photo; and a watercolor painting by Char Olson.
Raffle tickets are $10 each and can be purchased at Durward’s Glen, at the St. Joseph Parish office, or at the gala.
A bucket raffle will also be held for prizes from local merchants and artists. Bucket raffle tickets can be purchased at the gala.
