MADISON — A hot July turns out to be a great time for Christmas giving to needy Dane County kids.
That’s because Society of St. Vincent de Paul members from several west-side Madison parishes will be at the entrance to Metcalfe’s Market at Hilldale Shopping Center Saturday and Sunday, July 24 and 25.
They will be accepting cash donations to help ensure that children from some of the neediest local families won’t go without a new toy this Christmas.
of the funds collected as part of St. Vincent de Paul’s “Christmas in July” donation drive will be used to purchase new toys for Dane County children in need. Donors will even be able to designate the type of toy they would like their contributions to buy.
