SPRING GREEN — “We are truly a family here at St. John’s School” is proclaimed on the website for St. John the Evangelist School in Spring Green (www.stjohns-springgreen.org)

The average class size is less than 15, which allows the teachers to know every student as an individual and to respect each for his or her own individual talents and gifts.

The smaller class size also offers students a greater chance of participating in all activities, resulting in a greater sense of responsibility and development of leadership skills.

The students are separated into school families. School families read together and eat lunch together at least once a week. Projects are completed in their school families.

St. John the Evangelist School — an accredited Catholic school serving children four years old through grade five — has been in operation since 1949.

The two-story brick building has been enhanced with new windows, doors, lighting, classroom floors, wireless internet, and SMART boards. Classrooms are spacious, well-furnished, attractively decorated, and have lots of natural light.
